  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your preferred cut)
  • 1012 large shrimp, peeled and deveined (you can leave the tails on if you wish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 lb baby potatoes, sliced
  • Fresh rosemary, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss the sliced potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  3. While the potatoes are cooking, season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
  4. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add the seasoned steaks to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust the cooking time based on your preferred doneness). Once cooked, transfer the steaks to a plate and cover them loosely with aluminum foil to keep warm.
  7. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil.
  8. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  9. Arrange the cooked steaks on a serving plate and place the cooked shrimp on top.
  10. Surround the steak and shrimp with the roasted potatoes.
  11. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs for an aromatic touch and serve immediately.

Notes

To ensure optimal juiciness, allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Feel free to use your favorite type of potatoes for roasting, such as russet or red potatoes if you want to mix things up. You can enhance the meal with a side of sautéed vegetables or a crisp salad for added freshness. Enjoy!
