  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pizza rolls 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (or your favorite pizza toppings)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for sprinkling)
  • Additional pizza sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a roughly 12×10-inch rectangle.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add a layer of sliced pepperoni.
  4. Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll up the dough like a jellyroll. Pinch the seam to seal.
  5. Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into approximately 1-inch thick pieces. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. While they’re baking, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried oregano.
  7. Once out of the oven, immediately brush the hot rolls with the seasoned butter. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping, if you like.

Notes

Don’t overfill your pizza rolls. A thin layer of sauce and toppings ensures they roll up neatly. Feel free to customize your rolls with your favorite pizza ingredients like olives, bell peppers, or mushrooms as desired. Serve these rolls right out of the oven for that gooey, cheesy goodness. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven for that fresh-from-the-oven taste.
