Notes
Feel free to experiment with different cheese, such as Gouda, Swiss or Parmesan, to change up the flavor profile. Adding sliced mushrooms, broccoli florets, or diced bell peppers can also add more texture and flavor. You can prep this dish in advance by assembling the layers in the baking dish and refrigerating it until ready to bake. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly. Enjoy!
