Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 slices of bread (your choice of bread, such as sourdough or ciabatta)
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 ounces Brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (any variety or mix and match)
  • Butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat your panini press or grill pan.
  2. Lay out the bread slices on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice.
  3. On the unbuttered side of half of the bread slices, layer the ingredients. Start with a slice of Brie cheese, followed by crispy bacon slices, and finally, a few apple slices. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
  4. Carefully transfer the assembled sandwiches to the preheated panini press or grill pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  5. Remove the panini from the press or pan and let them cool for a minute or two. Slice each sandwich in half and serve warm.

Notes

To perfect this recipe, make sure to choose a bread that can hold up to grilling, such as sourdough or ciabatta, to achieve that satisfying crispness. You can also add a touch of tanginess by spreading some Dijon mustard or a dollop of cranberry sauce on the bread before assembling the panini. Serve the panini with a side of fresh salad greens or a bowl of soup for a complete meal. Enjoy!
