- Cook Time: 22 minutes
- Total Time: 32 minutes
- Yield: 6 tacos 1x
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 6 slices cheddar cheese or American cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or oil
Instructions
- Prepare the beef patties (5 minutes): Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions and shape them into small balls. Season each ball with salt and pepper.
- Cook the bacon (10 minutes): In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then crumble into pieces.
- Cook the smash burgers (10 minutes): Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or oil. Place a tortilla on the skillet and immediately put a beef ball in the center. Using a spatula, press down firmly on the beef ball to flatten it into a thin patty that covers most of the tortilla. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy.
- Add the cheese (2 minutes): Flip the tortilla and patty over, then place a slice of cheese on top of the patty. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the beef is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining tortillas and beef.
- Assemble the tacos (5 minutes): Top each taco with crispy bacon, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, and sliced pickles. Drizzle a little mayonnaise, mustard, and/or ketchup on each taco.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve the bacon smash burger taco immediately while they’re hot. Enjoy this delicious fusion of flavors!
