  • Yield: 4 sandwiches 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until it’s cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  4. While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in a toaster or on a skillet.
  5. Once the meatloaf is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thick slices.
  6. Assemble the meatloaf sandwiches by placing lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, then a healthy slice of meatloaf on top of the lettuce, followed by sliced tomato. Top with the other half of the bun and enjoy!

Notes

For a tangy twist, spread some barbecue sauce or hot sauce on the buns before adding the meatloaf. You can also add some cheese slices, onion, or any other fixings to customize this sandwich. Pair your burger with a side of sweet potato fries or coleslaw for a well-rounded meal. Enjoy!
