  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 23 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 810 large shrimp, peeled and deveined (can leave tails on if you wish)
  • 810 sea scallops
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh herb (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp and scallops with salt and pepper. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in diced tomatoes (with juices) and stir in chopped basil and dried oregano. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Gently add the seared seafood back to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Divide cooked spaghetti onto serving plates. Spoon the seafood and sauce mixture over the spaghetti.
  7. Sprinkle fresh herbs and grated Parmesan cheese over the dish. Serve immediately.

Notes

For optimal results, don’t overcook the seafood—just a few minutes on each side will ensure tenderness. The red pepper flakes can be adjusted according to your spice preference. Use high-quality canned diced tomatoes for the best flavor. Be sure to serve the dish immediately to savor the flavors at their peak. Enjoy!
