These satisfying sliders are the perfect combination of savory roast beef and zesty horseradish sauce, all nestled in soft, sweet Hawaiian rolls.

The sweetness of the rolls complements the tanginess of the horseradish and the richness of the roast beef, creating a delightful burst of flavors in each bite.

They’re ideal for gatherings, parties, or as a fun family meal. Let’s begin!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1/2 cup horseradish sauce
  • 1 cup arugula or baby spinach leaves (optional)
  • 6 slices Swiss or provolone cheese, halved
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, poppy seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven (5 minutes): Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Rolls (5 minutes): Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer Roast Beef and Cheese (5 minutes): Spread a layer of horseradish sauce over one half of the rolls. Then, layer the thinly sliced roast beef and top with halved cheese slices.
  4. Add Greens (2 minutes): Place a layer of arugula or baby spinach leaves over the cheese.
  5. Top and Season (3 minutes): Place the top half of the rolls onto the sliders. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with optional garlic powder and onion powder. Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls. Optionally, sprinkle poppy seeds on top for extra flavor and texture.
  6. Bake (15-20 minutes): Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are lightly browned.
  7. Serve (5 minutes): Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then cut into individual sliders.

Notes

For the best results, use high-quality roast beef and adjust the amount of horseradish sauce to your taste preference.

The buttery topping adds a nice finish to the sweet rolls, making them slightly crispy on top. Feel free to add your favorite fixings such as griddled onions or pickles.

These sliders are great for serving at parties as they are easy to eat and can be made in advance.

If eating at home, serve with your favorite sides such as sweet potato fries or cauliflower tots for a complete meal. Enjoy!
