  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 packs of ramen noodles
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup radishes, thinly sliced
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Other toppings as desired

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the eggs in a pot of boiling water. Boil for about 8 minutes for soft-boiled eggs. Then, transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool quickly. Once cooled, peel and slice them in half.
  2. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat. Dissolve the miso paste in a small amount of hot broth and then whisk it into the pot. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a separate skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden color. Remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin pieces.
  4. While the chicken is resting, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. In each serving bowl, add a portion of cooked ramen noodles. Ladle the miso broth over the noodles. Top with the sliced chicken, soft-boiled egg halves, radishes, green onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
  6. Your delicious Miso Ramen with Chicken is ready to be savored. Enjoy it while it’s piping hot!

Notes

For a more intense miso flavor, you can increase the amount of miso paste slightly, but be cautious as miso can be quite salty. Feel free to customize your toppings with other favorites like crunchy bean sprouts, mini corn, or bamboo shoots. To ensure your eggs are perfectly soft-boiled, use a timer during the boiling process. If you have extra time, marinating the chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger can add another layer of flavor. Hope you enjoy!
