Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 4 sub rolls
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 12-16 meatballs, depending on the desired size.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- While the meatballs are cooking, preheat the broiler and split the sub rolls in half lengthwise.
- Place the sub rolls on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Spoon marinara sauce over the bottom half of each roll.
- Place 3-4 meatballs on top of the sauce on each roll.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
- Broil for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.
