This recipe simplifies the traditional ravioli dish by eliminating the need for boiling the pasta separately. Instead, everything is layered in a casserole dish and baked to perfection.   • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese-filled ravioli
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce to coat the bottom.
  3. Arrange the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  4. Pour the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the ravioli, ensuring they are well-covered.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15-17 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley leaves, if desired, and let it cool slightly before serving.

Use your favorite type of ravioli, whether it’s cheese-filled, spinach and ricotta, or meat-filled, you really can’t go wrong. You can also try adding cooked ground beef or Italian sausage if you’re craving extra protein. For a crispy and golden top, broil the casserole for a couple of minutes after baking. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning. Serve with a side of garlic bread or a fresh salad and enjoy!
