Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  11. Serve the cheeseburger casserole with optional toppings such as chopped pickles, diced onions, and chopped lettuce.

Notes

For a variation, you can use ground turkey or ground chicken instead of ground beef. If you prefer a spicier dish, add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the tomato sauce mixture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave or oven. Enjoy!

Oven Fries

To start, grab a couple of good-sized spuds and slice them into wedges, not too thick or thin. Now, toss them in a mixing bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of salt, and whatever seasonings you fancy - maybe some paprika, garlic powder, or even rosemary. Spread them out on a baking sheet, making sure they aren't crowded so they get crispy all around. Pop them into a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C). Give 'em about 25-30 minutes, but flip them halfway so they get golden brown on both sides. Once they're crispy outside and soft inside, they're done! Pull them out, let them cool just a smidge, and then dive in.

Vinegar Cole Slaw

Start by thinly slicing or shredding a head of purple cabbage. Toss it in a bowl with some julienned carrots for a touch of sweetness and contrasting color. You can also throw in any additional veggies as desired. For the dressing, whisk together apple cider vinegar, a splash of olive oil, a pinch of sugar (or honey) to balance out the tartness, and seasonings like salt, pepper, and maybe a dash of celery seed. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, giving everything a good toss to ensure every bite is coated. Let it sit for a bit to allow the flavors to meld.

Homemade Unsweetened Iced Tea

Begin by choosing a quality black, green, or herbal tea – your preference will set the tone. Bring a pot of fresh water to a gentle boil and steep your tea bags or loose leaves, letting the tea brew a bit stronger than if you were making it hot, as it will mellow when chilled. Once you’ve achieved that deep, aromatic infusion, remove the tea and let it cool to room temperature. Transfer your tea to a pitcher and pop it into the fridge to cool down and intensify the flavors. When serving, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour over the chilled tea, and maybe add a slice of lemon or sprig of mint for a touch of flair.
