  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven (5 minutes): Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Spaghetti (10 minutes): Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare Meat Sauce (20 minutes): In a large cast iron skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. 6. Bake (25-30 minutes): Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve (5 minutes): Let the spaghetti pie cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Slice and serve directly from the skillet.

Notes

To achieve the perfect spaghetti pie, make sure the spaghetti is not overcooked since it will continue to cook in the oven. The meat sauce should be flavorful and well-seasoned.

The melted cheese on top adds a delicious gooey texture. This dish is great for leftovers and can be reheated easily.

Serve with a side of garlic bread and a side salad for a complete meal. Enjoy!
