  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 sandwiches 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 large pork tenderloin slices
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced onions
  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)
  • 1 package of frozen steak fries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees (or whatever the steak fry package calls for).
  2. Season steak fries with salt and paprika, and bake according to package instructions until crispy.
  3. While the fries are baking, season pork tenderloin slices with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge each slice in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs gently to adhere.
  5. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Carefully place breaded pork slices in the skillet. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Toast burger buns slightly in a toaster or oven.
  8. Assemble the sandwich by placing lettuce, tomato slices, and onions on the bottom bun. Add a breaded pork slice on top of the fixings.
  9. Add ketchup and mustard if desired.
  10. Cover with the top bun and serve alongside hot steak fries.

Notes

For even cooking, pound the pork slices slightly before breading. For extra flavor, you can marinate the pork tenderloin slices before breading. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Feel free to customize with your favorite condiments and toppings. Opt for a soft, slightly larger bun to hold the generous sandwich filling. Enjoy!
